PCF Sparkletots Future Ready Fair 2022

PCF Sparkletots is hosting our Future Ready Fair 2022, where we have planned interactive workshops (STEMIE Tales Storytelling, Tech Toys such as Kubo, LEGO Robotics) , a skit performance by our preschool children and seniors, and a showcase of our children’s innovative inventions from their STEMIE (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Invention and Entrepreneurship) programme.

But more than just about STEMIE, the fair aims to help lay the foundation for children to be cognitively and emotionally ready for the future. This is in line with PCF Sparkletots’ curriculum and programmes focusing on nurturing future-ready kids, some of which will be showcased at the fair, such as: 

• Tech toys to help children build computational thinking skills, which is important in mathematics and digital literacy. Children need to develop the ability to deconstruct a topic, issue or problem in basic, logical and sequential blocks and recognise patterns, relationships and relevance 

• Outdoor learning to learn about calculated risk taking, assessing dangers, learning about the world around them and how to be stewards of nature. Of course, it’s always fun to go outside and experience nature!
  
• Intergenerational learning to learn how to be comfortable with people of diverse age ranges, be empathetic of their situation, learning to do perspective-taking. This is especially important in our rapidly ageing society.

The fair is held at three locations over three different weekends (29-30 Oct at Our Tampines Hub, 5 Nov at The Plaza @ National Library Building, 12 Nov at Canopy @ JLink)

The event is complimentary and open to all children. Workshops are recommended for children between 4 years to 6 years old.
