My daughter is a sec 1 student. She finds History challenging. During my time, history was not taught the way she is being taught now. So I am unable to guide her. 

The above is part of a Historical Investigation she is supposed to conduct.

Historical Investigation:  Who is the founder of Singapore? 

1. Infer from the source how did Raffles contribute to Singapore’s founding and/or development?

2. Where is the evidence from the source?

3. Explain why the source evidence you had selected was able to show that your historical figure made a significant contribution to Singapore’s founding and/or development in this way? 

Any help would be much appreciated. I intend to learn through your sharing and advice so I can guide her to craft a logical answer.  It would be helpful if you could give a sample answer and explain it. Thank you very much.
